If you added or changed products in Shopify but the changes are not showing in your Meta catalog yet, keep in mind that Flexify and Meta update on separate schedules.
How does the sync work? #
Changes made to a Shopify product appear immediately on the Flexify Product Preview Page.
The generated Flexify feed is updated after:
- you click Update Feed on the app's Overview page, or
- the next scheduled Flexify feed generation runs.
After the Flexify feed has been generated, Meta still needs to fetch and process the latest version before the changes appear in your catalog.
How often does Meta fetch the feed? #
Meta can fetch a data feed:
- Hourly
- Daily - the default, approximately every 24 hours
- Weekly
If hourly feed fetching is configured in Meta, make sure hourly feed updates are also enabled in Flexify so Meta can fetch an up-to-date version of the feed.
What should I do after changing a product? #
If you want the changes to reach Meta as quickly as possible:
- Check the product on the Flexify Product Preview Page to confirm that Flexify sees the latest Shopify data.
- Click Update Feed on the Flexify Overview page and wait for the feed generation to finish.
- In Meta Commerce Manager, open the feed's Settings page and click Request Update Now.
Otherwise, you can simply wait for the next scheduled Flexify feed generation and Meta feed fetch.
In short:
Shopify change → Product Preview Page → Flexify feed generation → Meta feed fetch → Meta catalog
Large product feeds #
Most feeds generate within seconds or minutes. Larger catalogs may take longer to process.
